UFO: Oval entity hovers over Scottish forest

Since the November 5th sighting of a mysterious oval-shaped object over the town of Pitlochry, Perthshire, a UFO investigation has been underway. Pitlochry is a tiny town (population 2,564) on the edge of the Cairgorms National Park. It hosts a theatrical festival and is the site of highland games. It is a very popular base for touring the highlands of Scotland.

The incident over Pitlochrywas reported by the BBC and published in The Canadian: “UFO investigators are studying footage of a mysterious object seen floating in the sky above Perthshire.Adrian Musat filmed the glowing white light when he spotted it from his living room window in Pitlochry. The 40-year-old chef, originally from Romania, says he is open minded about whether the experience was a brush with extra terrestrials.” Read more »

Neil Armstrong Passes Away at Age 82 — Secrets Taken With Him?

There are dozens of articles out there serving as proper obituaries for American hero Neil Armstrong who passed away on Saturday. He was, of course, the first man to set foot on the moon as part of the Apollo missions back in the 1960s. The world watched by the millions as Armstrong landed on the moon on July 20, 1969, making his famous quotation that lives in the history books. Another Asteroid Passes Close to Earth — PHA 2012 QG42 Undiscovered Before August 26

Asteroid PHA 2012 QG42 (catchy, huh?) is somewhere between 625 and 1400 feet across. When an asteroid name starts out with the PHA designation, it says something about the situation. PHA stands for “potentially hazardous asteroid.” Hazardous to who? Earth of course. This one is not going to strike the Earth, scientists have said certainly. It will get uncomfortably close in astronomical terms, passing within 1.8 million miles. Spiders on Mars? Strange Photographs of Martian Surface Inspire Intrigue

Speculation is running rampant about a series of photographs taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter back in 2010 that is just now going public. In the photos, as you can see below, small black objects that many think bear an uncanny resemblance to earthly spiders are seen “sunbathing.” As you might imagine, the photos are sparking plenty of wild theories, some even going as far as to say that it could be microorganisms hanging out. That theory of course is completely unconfirmed and according to scientists extremely unlikely.

The spots aren’t an altogether new discovery. They were first noticed as far back as 1998. They show up on the surface when Mars starts to warm up. This supports the idea that it could be living organisms coming out from hibernation in a harsh winter on the Red Planet, but the fact that they appear in the same place over and over again seems to balance that theory back out by taking away a nice point of evidence for it being life. Bright Object in Martian Dirt Raising Eyebrows

Well, for the second time so far, the Mars rover Curiosity has returned a photograph that has something in it that is fueling massive speculation. On one of Curiosity’s first voyages, an object was seen in the distance. It was eventually determined to be a piece of the rover itself that had fallen off. Now, the latest photograph shows a tiny white speck of something that stands out in great contrast against the red Martian soil. Only a millimeter or so, it was unearthed (okay, that’s a funny word for it) when the rover used a mechanical arm to scoop up some of the dirt. Read more »

Curiosity’s Top Secret Discovery for the “History Books” — Did the Mayans Know About Life on Mars?

It’s impossible to ignore the conspiracy undertones in this fascinating story that has been brewing over the last several days. We all know about Curiosity, the rover that is currently doing its thing on Mars. We all watched breathlessly to make sure it landed okay, and for a moment, we reveled in the accomplishment. But then the drudgery of NASA and scientific experiments that 95% of the American public don’t and don’t want to understand too over, and soon Curiosity was nothing more than a little blurb in the world news section of the paper.
